Vision

CLAUDETTE ABRAMS is a Canadian, Toronto-based multimedia artist, curator and art educator. Her work employs photography, video, projection, holography, fabricated material construction, site-specific and immersive installation. In her artistic practice she seeks to reflect and dialogue on broad sociological, psychological, and environmental themes and concerns. She has instructed at the Ontario College of Art and Design in new media studies, and at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in photo-based art, where she is curator of the Transitions Permanent Art Collection. She has produced exhibitions for festivals and venues such as Nuit Blanche, Luminato and the Contact Photography Festival. Her award-winning work is placed in public collections and has been exhibited internationally, such as at The Deutesches Filmmuseum, Germany, The Ministry of Culture, Spain, ARTEC International Biennale Japan, The Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Toronto Art Fair.
